Facebook is rolling out a new feature that'll show you strangers' posts

T he new feature is called "Latest Conversations" and was spotted by Tech Crunch. It's one of Facebook's attempts to dead set on breaking our news biases and expand our horizons by this feature which will show you posts from strangers. So, after searching a news topic, Facebook will now display a public user generated posts which are outside your user network and there you will be able to see the number of people engaging with the topic. The "Latest Conversations" shows up beneath the news and photos section when you search something on Facebook. It is capable of arousing a certain amount of curiosity by giving a nice touch to see the number of people in the conversation, which means the rise and fall. It's like seeing a trend rise and fall if you sit long enough to watch before your eyes. However, not all the posts will make sense to you. As of now, there is no filter system added to the feature. So, we might end seeing up posts written in other l...

Life Hack: How To Overcome Self-Consciousness

A fter doing some research I came to know about the third largest mental health problem in the world today and I am sure most of us can relate to it. Yeah, you may have guessed it right, it is 'Social Anxiety'. Imagine you are in a party and somebody came to offer you a drink. Now, you start to feel nervous when it comes to picking up the glass because you are afraid of spilling your drink or suppose your hands start to shake and you start to feel embarrassing in front of others. Normally people also tend to avoid stating their opinion and go along with what others say even if they don't like to. If these things are a part of your life you might be another victim of Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD)! This isn't something serious to be cured by medicines or therapies, all it needs is your efforts and time to get things back in order. So, it is something like an irritating or obnoxious person which is sucking out self-confidence from your life. You are worried about wh...

When did you know you wanted to become a writer?

Part :2 A fter coming to Kolkata I didn't quite focus on my writing. To be honest I lost that vibe completely. It was only after my first year of engineering that I wrote a blog. That was a personal blog where I had shared my feelings concerning some deplorable events that happened in my life earlier. Later, I modified it into a tech blog because after some time I became interested in technological kinds of stuff. Fortunately, I had a friend in my PG and he was quite a techie. So, in a way, I was also drawn towards technology. Another year had passed. There was some break at that point from blogging. I felt too lazy to think about something interesting or different from myself. Soon I was in my final year of engineering and I got interested in blogging once again and this time with technological topics because I used to follow some tech videos on YouTube and that helped me a lot with the contents. I thought of a plan about starting a technological blog and turning it into...

When did you know you wanted to become a writer?

Part-1 : W ell , it's not like I have discovered something for the first time in my life since there were more interesting kinds of stuff I had discovered in my life when I was small. One of them being that I was smart but societal pressure was enough to make me think that I was not. Happened to all of us at some point in life, I guess. Fortunately, I realized the fact that people have a tendency to judge others in spite of many fallacies within themselves. Anyway, I shall share my first experience with writing when I was in school.  I started with essays as every other child would have done in school. When I was studying in class four, there was a happy moment with friends in my life which somehow propelled me into trying to scribble some kind of essay related to my classmates, one of them was my best friend at that time and the other was a girl and she was pretty. That little devil somehow managed to show my ingenuity in front of that hot-headed pretty girl. Now, you must b...
